PROJECT : PRECEDENT STUDIES (PART A)
In a group of 5, we were required to do a presentation board on the architectural analysis of the selected building from our Modern Masters Architect chosen. My group members consist of Ghaida Rashad, Renukka Raman, Shery Edrina and Afiqah Zahra. For this assignment we have chosen Le Corbusier as our Master Architect and The Curutchet House as the building.
REFLECTION
In this project, I've learnt to understand Le Corbusier's style of designing and his 5 points of architectural principle in desgining a facade. Based on the research I've made for this assigntment, I've also learnt to study more of his work and concept and how his building was designed to blend in with the environment.
PRECEDENT STUDIES (PART B)
For this part of the assignment, we were required to write an indivual comparison analytical essay of the chosen Modern Master with another Modern Master based on the topic chosen to further understand the underlying concepts and philosophy of the Modern Masters. For this assignment, we have chosen to compared Le Corbusier's Curutchet House and Frank Gehry's Gehry Residence. For my part, I've chosen to do Facade.
REFLECTION
For this project, I've learnt to improved my skills in researching and gathering informations on the Architect's building and design. Not only that, this project also helped me to understand both Master Architect's designing style better and gave me a better understanding of the way they construct a facade. Hence, architecture speaks its own language in silence and touches the mind and senses on many levels.
