PROJECT : CONTEXTUAL ARCHITECTURE STUDY & CASE STUDY PAPER

This project is divided into three parts : Contexual Architecture Study, Topic & Issue Proposal & Case Study Paper. For the first project, we were required to identify a building in Asia which we intend to investigate through readings on comtemporary contexual architecture practices and issues in Asia. Not only that, we also have to analyse the building and conduct a research on its vernacular architecture and identify the Contexual elements of the selected building. The building I have chosen for this project is the PJ Trade Centre.

For this part of the project, we were required to write a proposal on our research and come up with a topic and research questions for our case study. Not only that, we also have to further explain our topic and research questions in a presentation slide.

REFLECTION

First of all, I would like to thank Ms Alia (My tutor) for helping and guiding me through out the projects. Through the projects, I have learnt to analyse and discuss the selected research that I have chosen as well as to identify the significant elements of sustainable design through a thorough investigation of PJ Trade Centre. Not only that, I am also able to do an in-depth reaseach on a topic and understand better on the passive design strategies applied on a building.
